It is advised that furniture be stored inside or covered when not in use in order to protect from the weather.

It is recommended that all the bench be treated before use and re-treated 6 weeks after initial treatment to maintain the rich natural colour for longer and prevent premature damage caused by the weather. This can be done year on year thereafter.
