Hydroponics Resources
Hydroponics is a method of growing plants in a nutrient enriched water-based solution. In an effort to find more sustainable farming methods, eco-friendly farmers and hydroponic specialists have constantly researched new growth methods to effectively establish hydroponic produce as a viable option for farmers. Many fruits, vegetables, and plants are compatible with hydroponic growth systems. Two of the most notable hydroponic success stories include tomatoes and lettuce, which have repeatedly tested to be responsive. Hydroponics is also being explored for its accessibility in urban areas, due to the various systems used, including the vertical system that is extremely compact. Similar to typical soil-based systems, the needs of hydroponic plants are not very different; the differences lie in how those needs are met.
